MathSEE PhD Seminar

Doctoral students within MathSEE come from a variety of disciplines including (but not limited to) mathematics, material sciences, mechanics, physics, biology, meteorology to name a few. They are researching on topics that involve both mathematical and one of the application sciences. Within the MathSEE PhD Seminar they introduce their topic, challenges and results in 30-45 minutes talks to the MathSEE doctoral students group.

The new seminar series shall widen the horizons of the doctoral students introducing new applications, methods and approaches to solving problems together. The talks will on purpose be held as broad as the topics within MathSEE so that most of the doctoral students in the audience are able to contribute and participate in the discussion. Furthermore, a strong network of self reliant doctoral students is the ultimate goal of the seminar series that learn, benefit and support each other.

If you are a student from mathematics working on an application problem or if you are student from an application science applying mathematical methods, we invite you most cordially to become a member of the network and exchange your project ideas and challenges with the rest of the group. The seminars are held:

  • starting 23 October, every second Monday in a month (dates are announced in the MathSEE Event's Calender)
  • at 15:45 hrs
  • Room 1.067, Mathematics building 20.30

We look forward to your participation
