Workshop: HKMetrics in Statistics/Econometrics/Economics at KIT

July 09, 2026 | Atrium, Blücherstrasse 17, KIT Campus South

The HKMetrics network is a joint initiative of econometricians and statisticians from Heidelberg University, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the University of Mannheim. The mission of HKMetrics is to promote and foster research in applied and theoretical econometrics to initiate joint research cooperations.

The one-day workshop as part of the successful HKMetrics (Heidelberg Karlsruhe Mannheim Statistics and Econometrics) workshop series established in 2015 will have a focus on early career researchers. The talks will cover a broad spectrum of methods (from causal inference to forecast evaluation), with applications in economics, finance, weather, climate and health, and well aligned with the scope of KIT Center MathSEE.

Doctoral and postdoctoral researchers from the HKMetrics network and KIT more broadly will have the opportunity to present their recent work and obtain detailed feedback from other network members and senior researchers in the field.
